There are so many options available when it comes to marketing. It is easy to get caught up in the process and want to employ all the bells and whistles that are possible. You can find yourself caught up in the moment of creative brainstorming revelation, or the excitement of some new technological toy.
These can often be distractions. The art of marketing is not in deciding what you could do, or even what you should do… but what you can and will do. The art of marketing is about creating a communication plan that you can use to get the right message in front of the right people. That is it.
Why do we want to make it more complicated than that?
Think simple. You could spend a fortune on various marketing opportunities, but what if your prospective customer didn’t need all of that pomp and circumstance to pull the trigger?
Some of my most successful marketing campaigns have followed a very simple formula.
Greeting + Statement of Value + Incentive + Call-to-Action = Success
